How much does Beagle pet insurance cost?
On WhichPetPlan breed data, an illustrative starting estimate for a healthy one-year-old Beagle is about $36 per month. That is not a quote and not a Beagle-only price list. The generic dog catalog on this site runs $28 to $62 per month across eight reviewed insurers, with Lemonade the cheapest published dog entry at $28 and Trupanion the high end at $62. Beagles sit in our low-risk dog tier because of epilepsy and ear infections, which is why $36 sits near the cheap end of that range and well below a French Bulldog at about $74 or a Bulldog at about $81. Real quotes depend on age, ZIP code, deductible, and reimbursement rate, and they rise with age.

Lemonade is the one insurer on this site we can send you to for a live quote. That does not make it the right plan for every pet. As of August 2026, Lemonade Pet is not available in Alaska, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wyoming.
Some links here are partner links. If you buy through one, the insurer may pay us a fee. It never changes your premium and it never changes a ranking.

What the catalog actually publishes for Beagles
The Beagle breed page carries one published number: about $36/mo for a healthy one-year-old at a common deductible and reimbursement rate. We do not publish a Beagle-by-insurer premium table, and we do not invent a Lemonade-Beagle or Trupanion-Beagle price. The $36 figure is the same illustrative starting estimate already used on the general cost and puppy-cost answers.
The eight-insurer dog table, for comparison, is Lemonade $28, Pets Best $33, Spot $38, Figo $40, Embrace $41, Healthy Paws $44, Fetch $47, and Trupanion $62. Those are also estimates for a healthy young dog, not quotes and not Beagle quotes.
Why a Beagle is cheaper to insure than a Bulldog
Breed is the biggest lever after species. Our Beagle risk copy is epilepsy and ear infections, cheap to insure and generally hardy. That is the low-risk dog tier. French Bulldogs are priced for BOAS airway surgery, IVDD, and skin-fold dermatitis. Bulldogs are priced for airway, skin, and joints at once, and several insurers load or decline that breed outright. Those claim paths are why $74 and $81 sit far above $36.
A Beagle epilepsy claim is still an illness or hereditary claim. Coverage exists only when no seizure was documented before enrollment or during the illness wait. That is a different page. This URL answers what it costs.
What actually moves a Beagle quote
Age, ZIP code, deductible, and reimbursement rate (70, 80, or 90 percent) move the monthly premium away from $36. Senior Beagles cost more than the one-year-old catalog figure. A high deductible and a low annual cap usually produce the cheapest quote, and that is often the most restrictive configuration.
We have no per-state Beagle prices. Insurers price by ZIP, not by state. Lemonade is the paid quote path we publish. Get a Lemonade quote for your ZIP rather than treating $36 as a price. Lemonade Pet is not sold in Alaska, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wyoming as of August 2026.
