The three differences that decide it
Ceiling: Healthy Paws’ unlimited payout is standard; Lemonade tops out at $100,000 configured. Wellness: Lemonade sells an optional add-on (about $5/mo) plus separate dental-illness, behavioral and physical-therapy add-ons; Healthy Paws offers no wellness option at any tier. Clock: Lemonade waits 6 months on cruciate events; Healthy Paws holds hip dysplasia 12 months in most states and excludes it entirely for dogs enrolled at six or older.
Availability cuts the other way. As of August 2026 Lemonade is not sold in Alaska, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia or Wyoming, so quote your ZIP first if you live in one of those states.
