Yes, when HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) is newly found after enrollment and the illness waiting period. HCM is an illness and hereditary heart claim, not an accident. Accident-only policies do not pay. A murmur, cough, or lethargy note before the wait ends stays excluded for life. HCM is chronic once diagnosed, so it does not qualify for Embrace or Lemonade curable-condition reinstatement. Current Lemonade marketing waits (your state policy controls) are 0 days for accidents from the policy effective date, 14 days for illness, and 30 days for orthopedic conditions. HCM follows the illness clock, not the orthopedic clock. Hip dysplasia on the same cat is a different claim path with the longer joint holds.
