Get a quote from LemonadeSpot pet insurance scores 8.3/10 for dogs and 8.2/10 for cats in our rankings. It has the widest menu of annual caps we review, from $2,500 to unlimited, which also makes it the easiest plan to under-buy. There is no separate orthopedic wait. The standard 14-day illness period applies. Illustrative starting estimates are about $38/mo for a healthy one-year-old dog and $21/mo for a cat. Those are not quotes. Who Spot is not for
Owners of a dog that's already had one knee ligament injury — Spot treats both knees as linked, so a prior injury on one side excludes the other side too, even though the initial 14-day wait is shorter than most competitors' orthopedic hold.
